June 27, 2018 - MAize

The Maize Education Foundation is thrilled to join Capitol Federal® in celebrating the grand opening of their newest branch location and their arrival in our OneMa1ze Community!

As part of the ribbon cutting ceremony at the new branch, the Foundation was honored to receive a $20,000 grant, which will be used to support financial literacy and soft skills programming in the Maize School District.

Capitol Federal® CEO, John Dicus, presents the check to Maize Education Foundation Executive Director, Travis Bloom.

We at Capitol Federal® express our appreciation to the Maize Education Foundation for all it does in helping our teachers provide the best education for our students, and thus furthering the development of an even stronger Maize community
John Dicus, Chief Executive Officer of Capitol Federal®

For a number of years, the Maize School District has provided high-quality elective opportunities for students to learn these important skills. This grant will allow educators and administrators to expand the curriculum and embed coursework throughout the district to ensure that all students learn the skills during their K-12 education.

Outside of the classroom, the grant will also allow the Foundation to facilitate seminars and workshops for Maize students as well as their families.

Thank you Capitol Federal® for your generous contribution and support for education in the Maize School District.
